Susan Franceschina

Name:  Susan Franceschina
Education:  B.S. in Psychology from Shepherd University
Likes:  Writing (mostly science fiction and fantasy), abusing my Kindle, spending time with family and friends, casually applying episodes of X-Files and Star Trek: Voyager to real life, and delicious red wine.
Dislikes:  Awkward social situations and close talkers.
After taking a long, reflective "oh my gosh, what am I going to do with my life?" walk in the woods of West Virginia one day, I decided to write a book.  So . . . I did.  It's on my computer, somewhere.  After a few rejections from literary agents that gently indicated I was a "nobody," I started writing short stories in an effort to become a "somebody."  In addition to writing, I work for an online tutoring service and I am married with three wonderful kids.  I live in the suburbs of Western Maryland and sometimes inside my head.  My writing has appeared in Wanderings, Weirdyear, and is forthcoming in Yesteryear.  My short story, "The Great 1000" was also recently published by Books to Go Now.

Joe Mynhardt

Name: Joe Mynhardt

Joe Mynhardt is a South African horror writer and teacher. With multiple publications and a tome of story ideas scraping for a chance to be written, Joe is definitely a writer to keep an eye on. In his spare time Joe blogs about haunted buildings as well as scary movies. Be sure to check out his collection of eerie photographs.

Joe Mynhardt took up writing at the end of 2008 and has enjoyed remarkable success. Joe contributes to horror fiction in more ways than his own work. He maintains a constant presence on several of the major horror writer’s forums as a contributor and adviser. He’s also a moderator for a foremost writer’s group, Mywriterscircle. All in all, he keeps his finger on the active pulse of current horror.

In his non-fictional life, Joe is a primary school teacher who enjoys reading, watching movies and collecting rare coins. After matriculating in 1998, he moved to Bloemfontein, South Africa, where he received an honors degree in Education Leadership and Management.

Joe devotes himself to his wife, his work, and to feeding his two dogs. I’m sure if something happened, and he was incapacitated, he wouldn’t mind if his dogs ate him. After all, it would be a shame to let all that talent go to waste.

Experience more of Joe’s creations (Including ghost photos, links to published work, and a horror blog.) at www.joemynhardt.com

Feel free to contact me at Joemynhardt@yahoo.com. I love chatting with people from all walks of life, so don’t hesitate to look me up on facebook.

A New Englander by upbringing and inclination, Kenneth Weene is a teacher, psychologist, and pastoral counselor by education. He is a writer by passion. Ken’s poetry has appeared in numerous publications – most recently featured in Sol and publication in Spirits, Palo Verde Pages, Vox Poetica and Clutching at Straws. An anthology of his writings, Songs for my Father, was published by Inkwell Productions in 2002. Ken’s short stories have appeared in many places, including Legendary, Sex and Murder Magazine, The New Flesh Magazine, The Santa Fe Literary Review, Daily Flashes of Erotica Quarterly, Bewildering Stories and A Word With You Press. In 2009 Ken’s novel, Widow’s Walk, was published and in 2010 a second novel, Memoirs From the Asylum, both by All Things That Matter Press.

My writing is a combination of super-realism and literary fiction. It is typically character driven and with great attention paid to the sound of language.

I'm available on most of the social media, but particularly on FaceBook - just look for Kenneth Weene; I'm the only one.

I have two more novels ready to go to the publisher and another under way. Writing has become a way of life.
