About: Richard Cody, a native Californian, has been known to write poetry and fiction. His work has appeared in publications such as Zam Bomba, Talking Raven, Half-Truth, Shoofly, An Audio Magazine for Children and American Tanka in the real world, and on-line at Margin, Mind Caviar, Weirdyear, Outwardlink.net and a handful of stones.
Richard is the author of two poetry collections and the dark fiction/horror anthology, “Darker Corners”. The first edition of “Darker Corners” was gathering positive reviews when Richard released a second, expanded edition. The expanded book pulls six new tales of dark wonder into the light, including “The Language of the Dead”, selected for Eclectic Flash’s Best of 2010 anthology.
Richard Says: My poetry in recent years has been greatly influenced by Eastern forms of poetry such as Haiku and Tanka. The tendency toward spareness in those poetic forms has also influenced my fiction, to some extent. Whether I'm writing a slice of life account of love at the supermarket or a grim Lovecraftian epic, I have found that less really is more.
Richard Cody Likes saying that he is the real Richard Cody, all the while knowing there is only one person.
Richard Cody Dislikes: Oppression in all its forms.

Ellis Jane Loera
Name: Ellis Jane Loera, or E.J. Loera for short.
I am an author of novels, plays, short stories, poems, articles, and vegan recipes. I also have been known to strum out original compositions on my old Martin guitar and am far too often covered in pastels or paints from visual art projects. When I am not at work writing or painting, I can generally be found on long hikes with my dogs or daydreaming about all the places I have yet to go. My goal is to one day be able to live off my art, but in the time being I have grown partial to food and shelter and bide my time as a graphic designer and a dog groomer. More information about me, as well as links to some of my works and a list of publications, can be found at my website.
Inspiration can be found in the most unexpected places. I tend to carry post-it notes in my pockets so I can easily jot down an idea when the lightning bolt of inspiration chooses to strike. The themes that have often driven my written work - whether consciously or subconsciously - are the themes of what it means to be human and exploring that fine line where sanity melts into madness. Also as someone who copes with panic disorder on a daily basis, this aspect of myself has a tendency to seep into my work allegorically as well. My paintings are usually inspired by a color that I spot, immediately become infatuated with, and then the image springs around the color. I am always open to requests and have done a handful of commissions in my time as well.

Amanda Firefox
Name: Amanda Firefox
AKA: Cali Rons
Amanda Firefox is the author of Shadows of Light on Tomorrow’s Mirror and another upcoming novel in the romance genre. She is a mystic and a spiritualist who knows the power of love and acknowledges it every day in every way she can. She loves romance, passion, sensuality, and the occasional foray into nerdliness. Her spiritual path is one of soft, solitary practice which acknowledges Christianity while ultimately straying into Wicca, Thelema and Quabalah. She identifies with Celtic traditions, she-wolves, dragons and the moon.
Amanda Firefox’s writing style has been described as somewhere between Rikki Ducornet and Nora Roberts. As a writer, she is just left of the mainstream and never fully in the current.

I am an artist who follows no particular style but my own. I have a hard time with direction in my piece, I often don't know what I'm doing until it's halfway finished. That might sound like work, but I just the creative vibes flow!

Mark was born in New Hampshire, raised in Alaska, lived in California for 25 years and is now back in New Hampshire. He is a divorced father and grandfather who began writing when he was seven. Divorced now, he's back at it and will keep at it until he can no longer type or write.
Type of writing: Mostly SF&F but also Mystery and even Romance genre fiction. Currently working on a blended Science Fiction and Fantasy novel, with the vision of it becoming at least a trilogy.

Name: Kerry Alan Denney
Website: www.kerrydenney.com
I’m a thirty year veteran performing and recording guitarist, and a six year veteran
of writing fiction. I’ve performed all over the southeast, anywhere from obscure
holes-in-the-wall to The Fox Theater, The Masquerade, The Roxy, and Variety
Playhouse, among many others. I’m a “shredder”, as well as a compositional
musician, and have written, recorded, and produced three independently released
CDs: Kerry Denney’s Self-Indulgence, Inc. (1999 – available using link below);
Angel Down (2001); and Bully Hayes (2003). They’re all hard rock with a 70’s
and 80’s flavor. In 2004, I switched from music to pursue writing fiction, a lifelong
dream, and have since written five novels and numerous poems and short stories.
I’m the First Place Winner of the Atlanta Writers Club Fall 2009 Poetry Contest.
My writing encompasses a handful of crossover genres: paranormal/ supernatural,
sci-fi, horror, and thrillers. All of my novels are character-driven, and the plot
always involves elements of the fantastic. I’m currently hard at work finishing my
sixth novel, JAGANNATH, a sci-fi action adventure, and shopping for an agent
for my fifth novel SOULSNATCHER, a paranormal thriller, of which the first
three chapters have been published on three consecutive days on weirdyear.com
and yesteryearfiction.com. Check out my samples using the links below (and see
the numerous positive supportive comments!) and go to my website and leave me

Lilly Era
Name: Lilly Era (Lillith Raven Era)
Aka: Lillithstar
My Website: www.Lillithstar.com
Hi! I am Lillith Raven Era, but you can call me Lilly, I am 10 years old and am working on following my dreams. My dream is to be a Singer, and/or an artist. I'd like to be both. :) I am currently learning how to play guitar to go with my singing, and my songs are sometimes a pop sort of music, and sometimes a soft sort of music, what I ever feel like that day. Songs pretty much come to me, and I just sing them as they come. My drawing is usually Fairies and mermaids, and I often draw people and landscapes as well. I just love to draw, and painting is really fun too, I just love creating, I'll create any chance I get! Besides that, I also love to write, I'd love to publish a few books as well some day, I very much like fantasy and its most of what I read and write and draw. I love photograhy as well, its just really fun, I take nature photography mostly, flowers and landscapes and trees. I like to do a lot of things, I also like to write poems, not just stories, but I don't write poems about anything specific, one could be about flowers while the other one is about elephants! Oh! and I take dance classes! (just for fun though, I don't think I want to be a dancer). Yup. That's me. :) Lilly.
Education: I'm in 5th Grade, but I do just about College level work.
Likes: Fairies, mermaids, dragons, fun, disney, my art, Games, creating, reading, music, lots and lots of stuff...
Dislikes: Being told I can't do something, not being able to do something, pain (of course)

I prefer to keep my real name private as I’m a teacher and my student’s know how to Google. Not all of my work is suitable for children.
I’m a musician; clarinet and saxophone are my primary instruments, but I do play many others. I’ve taught band as well as elementary music and middle school chorus. I’ve steered clear of high school band, because the enormous amount of time one must invest in half time shows would leave me no time to write. As it is now, I teach music to darling children and I’m home by 4:00pm everyday and eager to get my writing fix.
I’ve dabbled in a wide variety of genres and styles of writing, but the works that feel most “me” tend to be abstract and drenched in imagery and wordplay. These particular pieces seldom contain dialogue, nor do they have a typical “plot”. In my opinion, they are poetic snapshots or short text films that show the world through a musical lens. Often the overall tone is dark and moody and with deep undercurrents of emotion throughout. What I’ve found is that these extensions of my spirit in the form of poetic writings usually flow from me in a stream, one sitting, rarely taking more than twenty minutes to compose. I may edit the work after the basic structure is there, but I try not to tamper too much, because the organic feel gets lost when I do. I can’t say if my work is good or bad, I’m not sure I understand how one can define bad art anyway. I will say that to my great surprise and delight, I’ve recently had poetry nominated for a Pushcart Prize and Best of the Web. Apparently, someone out there enjoys my work, which makes me very happy.
You can find examples of my work in Weirdyear and Daily Love as well as many other zines. For a full listing, you may want to check out my blog: http://musicalpencil.blogspot.com

I have been submitting poetry and short stories for the past several years. I began writing when I was ten years old, my grandparents gave me my first typewriter. I have written 98 books of poetry and 17 novels over the past Four or five years. I have published 346 poems, 186 short stories and 32 pieces of art in over 87 periodical, anthologies and books. I love to write and nothing thrills me more than seeing my work in print. The creative process is a thrill for me as is influencing the Reader in a positive way, in a thought provoking way. One of my primary goals involves touching the reader and giving them a gift, the gift of a long forgotten memory or perhaps a special insight that may not have been apparent.
I usually find myself in some sort of creative process, some form of self expression. I love to play guitar and keyboards in my spare time; music is another creative drive in my life and I enjoy playing whenever I get the chance. I also do pencil sketches, I have about six or seven hundred drawings; perhaps I’ll illustrate a book someday. There are 70 pieces of my art on facebook, have a look if your interested.
I am new to the field of art but I began drawing about 12 years ago and have over seven hundred pieces of art now. I love to create and nothing thrills me more than seeing my work in print. I have published 32 pieces at several magazines and web sites. I have published in Dark Gothic Resurrected, Blood Moon Rising, Fan Art Central and Death Head Grin. The creative process is a thrill for me as is influencing the viewer in a positive way, in a thought provoking way. Daniel Chartrand
Name: Daniel Chartrand
AKA: DJ Synn, Chartrando
Daniel Lee Chartrand (Born October 23 1985) began the electronic music movement in the small town of Tuolumne CA, teaching his close friends the ways of creating electronic music using basic tools mostly composed computer based instruments. From an early age he has had a fascination with the piano and other similar keyed instruments. Obtaining his first keyboard at the age of 3, he began the process of becoming a self-taught musician. Born at home to Lana Chartrand in Milpitas, CA he was raised by his mother for most of his life due to an absent father. In 2001 he left home at the age of 15 to live with family. Though hardly interested in the artistic creation of music in his high school years, his creative side started to show around the age of 16 when he gradually started learning the ins and outs of midi based composition. Soon after beginning work with the construction of songs through the process of midi he began working with friend and fellow musician David DeCoster. Through long months of learning the two started showing real promise in artistic creation producing numerous tracks, none of which ever amounted to much. While currently working on a compilation of original pieces for his first album release he will be beginning training to help further his knowledge of the process of music production. Creation of an original score for a movie has been a long time goal of his that he hopes to one day achieve.
ART TYPE: I construct abstract electronic instrumental music with a few choice instruments that include a Washburn Maverick BT 2 sunburst electric guitar, a Korg Triton LE keyboard, a Luna Muse 12 string acoustic electric hybrid guitar, an M-audio fasttrack pro, and Image Line's Fruity Loops studio software. All my sounds are fine tuned in FL studio from driven electric guitar to soft flowing pads. The construction of each track is a simple flowing of random thoughts so it's difficult to really place where the inspiration for a new song comes from.

Glenda Jane Grande
Name: Glenda Jane Grande
Aka: tsukitenshi, angellusion, angel
Website: www.angellusion.com
Filipina by blood and heritage, Australian on the birth certificate – I’m a lover of everything that is unusual yet beautiful, or just simply beautiful. My interests are as widespread as the skies we live under and I believe in living freely.
My childhood dream was to become an angel – I wanted to be someone who could help protect people. While I can’t grow wings, I can write with my heart.
I have loved writing stories for as long as I can remember, but I started turning it as an emotional outlet at the age of 13. Since then, I haven’t stopped and have continued to use writing as my release.
My writing is far from structured and I don’t think I show any particular technique, but what I do try to do is to paint a picture within each reader’s mind and evoke emotion from the heart. Sometimes I rhyme, usually I don’t. The aim of my prose and poetry is to remind everyone that because we are human, it is alright to feel the various emotions that we do, whether it is love, heartbreak, sadness, anger, pain or happiness. I write to remind that we are not alone in world when we feel such things – each feeling has a lesson to teach us.
